Adam Robertson
Program Director| Head Coach Snowboard
Adam has been coaching snowboarding for almost 10 years. He coached the Canadian National Development Group in SBX for 4 years and led many riders to the national snowboard team. Adam has helped to train and mentor coaches across Canada and puts his experience to use with Evolve both training and developing athletes as well as the coaching staff.

Kevin Bernier
Program Director| Head Coach Ski
Kevin has been involved in the ski industry for 15 years and has been coaching for 10 years. Kevin holds numerous certifications in Alpine, Freestyle, & the CSIA. A business education has enabled him to run a successful freeski program as well as working with athletes in Ski Cross; seeing great success in both. In 2010-11 Kevin joined forces with the former Sunshine Village Snowboard club to form the new Evolve Ski & Snowboard club.
Mike Robertson
Performance SBX
Mike is the 2010 Olympic Silver Medallist in SBX. Mike has trained on the Canadian National Snowboard Team for over 5 years and has been competing for 10 years. He has achieved numerous World Cup podium results to go along with his Olympic Silver medal. Mike looks forward to helping the next generation of snowboard athletes achieve their dreams.

Adam McCraw
Evolve Freeskiers
As a current competitor on the Canadian and World Freeskiing Tour, Adam brings a lot of competitive knowledge to the program. Adam grew up ski racing in Ontario, competing at a regional and provincial level, before making the switch to the freeskiing scene. Adam’s goal is to have as much fun as possible and keep everybody smiling all day long as well as test each athlete not only as a skier, but as a leader to their peers.
Pete Jensen
Western SBX
PJ has been coaching snowboarding for over 10 years and has been involved in the snowsports industry for even longer, training instructors and developing CASI course content. PJ specializes in SBX and has worked with alot of the top athletes in Alberta. He enjoys spending his time freeriding the mountain and riding powder.
Davis Ronsky
Western SBX
As a past athlete Davis has alot of competitive experience to bring to the team. Davis raced SBX for over 5 years and saw great success in the sport, competing at a national level as one of Alberta’s top SBX racers. Davis brings a ton of enthusiasm to the team and enjoys sharing his knowledge of the sport with the upcoming riders in the program.
Adam Bourns
All Mountain Freeskiers/Intro Ski Cross
Adam Bourns has been skiing for 15 years and teaching skiing for 3 years at Canada Olympic Park. He competed in big mountain competitions and when younger participated in ski racing. Adam hopes to pass on his passion for skiing to the athletes by creating a fun and enthusiastic learning environment. In the off-season Adam is a pro BMX racer which he has been competing in for the past 14 years , he is also the expert riders head coach at Calgary BMX.
Scout Shmygol
All Mountain Freeskiers
Scout has been skiing with the Evolve Freeskiers (formerly Alberta Freeskiers) for eight years.
Craig Gaunce
Western Freestyle
Craig likes to push his own skills when riding and loves to share that passion with his athletes. Craig has lived and worked in the Bow Valley for over 15 years, both instructing and coaching. Craig’s skills in the park allow him to translate this over to his riders well and he has alot of fun with his riders while they are out. Craig is dedicated to his program and wants to see improvement and a smile on each persons face throughout the season.
Lawrence DeGuzman
Junior Snowboard
Lawrence is very passionate about snowboarding and this transfers over to his coaching. Lawrence competed for the Phillipine’s on the World Cup snowboard circuit for a number of years, competing in both SBX and Halfpipe. He has a great background of competitive experience and coaching experience. When competing Lawrence’s philosophy was always “keeping the dream alive” and he aims to help future riders do this.
